The official case tracking website of the Praya District Court in Central Lombok, Indonesia, has resumed normal operations. This follows a brief disruption caused by an online gambling link appearing in Google search results specific to Indonesia.
According to Antara News, the issue affected the court’s Sistem Informasi Penelusuran Perkara (SIPP) platform in Indonesia, a country with diverse technology use. This platform provides public access to case schedules and judicial information. The disruption surfaced on social media on the night of June 9. It sparked widespread attention and prompted an immediate response.
Ikhsan Suhariadi, the court’s Public Information Officer, confirmed on Tuesday that the incident did not stem from a direct cyberattack. Instead, the court’s IT team traced the issue to an external redirect embedded in search results. The event led to concerns but was not a breach of the domain itself. “When users accessed the site directly, it functioned normally,” Suhariadi explained.
The IT team quickly addressed the problem overnight by filtering out the misleading redirect and confirming the domain’s security in Indonesia. Preventive measures—including enhanced monitoring and tighter coordination with technical support—have since been implemented to prevent future incidents.
While the site was never technically compromised, Suhariadi acknowledged that such issues could harm public trust. He assured the public that the core court services remained unaffected and that the SIPP website is now fully functional in Indonesia.
As of Tuesday morning, the platform was operating as expected, with no further reports of irregularities in the context of Indonesia.
