DigiPlus Eyes Growth in Latin America
DigiPlus Interactive plans to launch operations in Brazil in September 2025, aiming to capture opportunities in Latin America’s newly regulated iGaming market. As Brazil’s internet penetration approaches 90% among its population of over 200 million, the country offers a crucial expansion path for the company. DigiPlus, known for running BingoPlus and ArenaPlus in the Philippines, estimates Brazil’s iGaming sector to be worth roughly US$4.6 billion, according to data from LCA Economic Consulting.
Local Focus and Diverse Content Strategy
To appeal to Brazilian players, DigiPlus will introduce a mix of livestreamed games, slots, table games, and proprietary digital content. Furthermore, the company will rely on its upgraded technology infrastructure after migrating to Amazon Web Services (AWS) earlier this year.
Eusebio Tanco, Chairman of DigiPlus, explained:
“We’re eager to deliver top-tier entertainment to new audiences, leveraging our expertise from the Philippines. Entering Brazil marks a crucial step in our broader growth strategy.”
Leadership and Regulatory Alignment
Recently, DigiPlus strengthened its leadership team by appointing Tommy Hu as CEO and Rick Li as Chief Digital Officer. Meanwhile, Graham Tidey took over as country manager for Brazil in March, giving the company a local team to better navigate cultural nuances and regulatory demands.
Brazil finalized its iGaming regulations in 2024, establishing licensing protocols, consumer safeguards, and a clear tax structure. Consequently, international operators like DigiPlus can now enter the market legally.
Future Ambitions
DigiPlus’ move into Brazil follows a leadership transition in June, highlighting its renewed focus on regulated global markets and digital innovation. Hu, who previously led transformations in the Philippines, and Li, who joined from Ant Group to drive digital strategy, both signal DigiPlus’ commitment to innovation and responsible gaming.
Overall, DigiPlus believes its Brazilian launch will pave the way for significant regional growth and brand recognition.
