Expanse Studios has officially entered Croatia’s regulated iGaming market after securing certification from the country’s Ministry of Finance.
The approval allows the studio to launch Super Heli, its popular crash-style game, for Croatian players. Moreover, Expanse plans to seek certification for additional titles from its portfolio of 56 games, aiming to expand its footprint across EU markets in the weeks ahead.
Croatia’s gambling industry generated $484.7 million in 2024 and is forecast to grow at 8.4% annually through 2030. Key growth drivers include rising internet penetration, which jumped from 76% in 2020 to 83% in 2023, as well as Croatia’s Schengen Zone accession, which boosted tourism to 20.6 million visitors last year. Industry projections suggest more than 500,000 Croatian residents could engage in regular online gambling by 2027.
Meanwhile, the European iGaming market continues to gain momentum. Research from iGamingToday indicates that Croatia’s national gambling market could hit €720.4 million ($848.8 million) by 2025 under current regulatory conditions.
Damjan Stamenkovic, CEO of Expanse Studios, shared his excitement:
“Gaining certification in Croatia is more than just accessing a new market. It’s proof of our content quality and our compliance capabilities in strict EU jurisdictions. With Super Heli already live and more games coming, we’re thrilled about the opportunities ahead.”
