Nolimit City has partnered with emerging studio Sneaky Slots, giving the newcomer access to its signature xMechanic gameplay tools for upcoming slot releases.
Sneaky Slots recently teased its launch with a “Coming Soon” post on LinkedIn. The studio’s website, hosted under Playin, part of Evolution, lists Sneaky Slots alongside established names like Red Tiger, NetEnt, and Big Time Gaming (BTG). Evolution has not yet published official details about the new studio on its corporate site.
Nolimit City owns nearly 20 in-house xMechanics, including xNudge, xWays, and xBomb. These mechanics, designed to push slot gameplay beyond convention, will feature in Sneaky Slots’ future titles. However, the studio has not shared a roadmap for its releases.
Evolution continues to expand its portfolio through bold innovation. The company acquired Nolimit City in 2022 for €200m ($210.4m) upfront with an additional €140m in earn-outs. A year earlier, Evolution bought BTG for $534.5m, introducing the Megaways mechanic across multiple brands.
Nolimit City stands out with edgy releases such as Serial, Karen Maneater, and Mental II, while Red Tiger, NetEnt, and BTG maintain a reputation for classic, mainstream-friendly slots. Industry observers believe Sneaky Slots could balance Nolimit’s high-intensity mechanics with broader, more marketable themes—helping Evolution capture both niche and mass audiences.
Analysts also expect Sneaky Slots to play a role in localized game development, especially as Nolimit City grows its presence in markets like Brazil.
Until Sneaky Slots reveals its first releases, the industry will watch closely to see how this partnership shapes Evolution’s future innovation strategy.
