Playtech Projects €90M+ EBITDA for H1 2025

Playtech expects adjusted EBITDA of at least €90 million ($102.7m) for the first half of 2025, according to a trading update released ahead of its official results.

The company credited strong momentum in its B2B segment and an above-forecast contribution from associates, particularly Mexico-based Caliente Interactive. Caliente benefited from favorable sports betting results in Q2 and has issued its first dividend under the revised strategic partnership—Playtech holds a 30.8% stake in the operator.

Despite previously highlighting regulatory headwinds in Brazil and Colombia during its May AGM, Playtech reaffirmed its confidence in long-term growth. The company plans to continue investing in its U.S. and Brazilian initiatives throughout the second half of the year.

“The Board remains confident in Playtech’s ability to execute its strategy as a predominantly pure-play B2B business, especially with significant growth opportunities on the horizon,” the company stated.

The forecast excludes Snaitech (partially divested) but includes Playtech’s share of income from associates and losses from HappyBet.

Playtech will release its full H1 2025 results on 11 September, accompanied by a presentation at Chartered Accountants Hall in London. CEO Mor Weizer and CFO Chris McGinnis will host the session, which will also stream online.

This update comes amid Playtech’s continued expansion across regulated markets. In June, the group launched operations in West Virginia, marking its fourth iGaming entry in the U.S. It also signed recent B2B deals with BetMGM, DraftKings, and Hard Rock Digital, along with earlier partnerships in Ontario (High Roller), France (PMU), and other U.S. states.
