Yggdrasil Launches YGG Champions Program

Yggdrasil has launched YGG Champions™, a new house-of-brands program designed to support independent game studios, brands, and creators through dedicated creative identities and operational backing.

The initiative aims to provide Yggdrasil-supported studios with a clear position within its portfolio while allowing each brand to maintain its own unique voice, product philosophy, and creative direction.

Supporting Distinct Creative Identities

YGG Champions™ is built on the belief that different player segments and market opportunities are best served by specialized studios rather than expanding a single brand across multiple product categories.

Under the program, each studio operates independently with its own creative vision, audience focus, and product strategy. Yggdrasil provides the infrastructure and support required for growth, including investment, production expertise, platform access, technology resources, commercial partnerships, and global distribution capabilities.

Three Studios Join at Launch

The new program launches with three studios joining the YGG Champions™ portfolio:

  • Suits & Royals
  • Slightly Edgy
  • Fish & Chips

Each studio brings a distinct creative identity and product vision, enabling Yggdrasil to broaden its content offering and appeal to a wider range of player preferences.

Powered by Game in a Box™

Studios participating in the program will utilize Yggdrasil’s Game in a Box™ technology as their core development framework.

The platform provides a proven technical infrastructure while allowing teams to focus on key creative areas such as game mechanics, themes, design concepts, and player experience.

By reducing development complexity, Game in a Box™ enables studios to accelerate content creation while maintaining creative independence.

Expanding Portfolio Diversity

Tomasz Kowalik, Managing and Product Director at Yggdrasil, emphasized that strong gaming brands are built around clearly defined audiences and distinctive identities.

He noted that YGG Champions™ allows studios to preserve their individual creative direction while benefiting from Yggdrasil’s technology, publishing expertise, operational support, and global reach.

The objective, according to Kowalik, is not to create sub-brands of Yggdrasil but to help independent brands grow and establish themselves on their own terms.

Strategic Growth Initiative

The launch of YGG Champions™ represents the next phase of Yggdrasil’s portfolio strategy.

By supporting specialized studios with dedicated identities, the company aims to unlock new market opportunities, diversify its content portfolio, and deliver a broader range of gaming experiences to operators and players worldwide.

The program also strengthens Yggdrasil’s position as a technology and publishing partner, providing developers with the tools and resources needed to scale while maintaining creative control over their products.
