Grid has partnered with Sportstensor, the official market maker for Polymarket, to provide verified server-level esports data for prediction markets. This move aims to enhance accuracy, transparency, and trust across blockchain-based markets.
Official Data for Verified Market Settlements
Under the agreement, Grid will supply live, rights-compliant information for major esports titles, including Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Valorant. The data comes through exclusive partnerships with publishers and tournament organizers.
In decentralized ecosystems, data oracles act as bridges, feeding verified real-world results to smart contracts. This ensures that market outcomes are accurate, tamper-proof, and automatically settled on-chain.
Expanding Market Depth and Innovation
Grid’s server-level data will enable new and more complex markets. For example, Polymarket users could predict the total number of chickens eliminated in a CS2 tournament, with results verified automatically on-chain.
“Prediction markets are emerging as one of the fastest-growing frontiers for digital engagement,” said Dominika Szot, VP of Growth at Grid. “Esports, a sport digital by nature, fits perfectly within that ecosystem. Official data ensures every settlement is fair, transparent, and tamper-proof while adding entertainment value.”
Ensuring Trust and Engagement
Leo Chan, Co-Founder and CEO of Sportstensor, added: “Prediction markets depend on trust, not just between traders, but in the accuracy of outcomes. Partnering with Grid ensures esports markets are settled using verified, rights-compliant data. This allows us to design richer and more engaging markets for Polymarket users.”
Strategic Expansion for Grid
This partnership strengthens Grid’s position as a leading source of official esports data. It also aligns with the company’s broader goal of integrating verified in-game information into emerging sectors, supporting a transparent and data-driven digital economy.
