Evolution, Pragmatic Play and Play’n GO are among the leading suppliers in Sweden’s regulated online gambling market, according to Bettingbladet’s Swedish Online Gambling Market Report H1 2026.
The report examines operator GGR, supplier market shares, popular games, sportsbook technology, RTP levels, payment methods and other market trends. Bettingbladet combines public information, industry data, its own research and market analysis, while some figures remain estimates where complete data is unavailable.
Pragmatic Play Leads Swedish Slot Market
Pragmatic Play holds an estimated 21.9% of Sweden’s online slot turnover, narrowly ahead of Play’n GO at 21.1%. Hacksaw Gaming follows with an estimated 10.9% share.
Book of Dead topped Bettingbladet’s H1 dataset. Starburst, Legacy of Dead and Fire Joker also remained among the top 10, while newer releases such as Pirots 4 and Gates of Olympus 1000 also performed strongly.
Evolution Dominates Live Casino
Sweden’s live casino segment shows significantly more concentration than the slot market. Evolution accounts for an estimated 77% of live casino turnover, while Pragmatic Play holds approximately 12.5%. All other suppliers combined account for around 10.5%.
Evolution’s Crazy Time led the live casino market, generating an estimated 10% of Evolution’s Swedish live casino turnover alone.
RTP Offers Another Differentiation Point
Bettingbladet found that operators can offer different RTP settings for the same games. Across its sample of selected titles from five major suppliers, average RTP ranged from approximately 93.8% to 96.3%.
Coolbet recorded the highest average at 96.26%, while ATG, bet365 and PAF each averaged above 95%.
With Sweden maintaining strict restrictions on gambling promotions, operators can use RTP differences as another way to differentiate their offerings.
Kambi Leads Sportsbook Volume
Kambi and Altenar ranked as the most widely used sportsbook technology suppliers by operator count, together powering 51.85% of the operators analysed.
Kambi also led the market by betting turnover, providing sportsbook technology for major operators including ATG, Svenska Spel, Unibet and PAF.
Payment options showed a similarly concentrated market. Swish appeared at 82 of 85 operators, or 96.5%, while Trustly featured at 90.6%.
Sweden Maintains High Channelisation
Sweden recorded an overall channelisation rate of 84%, compared with 86% in 2023 and 85% in 2024. Sports betting reached 96%, while online casino recorded 81%.
The regulated Swedish online gambling market generates an estimated €2.5 billion annually, and operators pay a 22% tax on GGR.
