ICE Barcelona will introduce a redesigned content programme in 2027, featuring the new WorldGaming Council and ICE Conference as organisers respond to changing priorities across the global gaming industry.
The updated programme follows consultation with ICE Barcelona stakeholders and will divide content into two formats aimed at different industry audiences.
WorldGaming Council Targets C-Suite Leaders
The WorldGaming Council will operate as an invite-only C-suite event under Chatham House rules, with attendance capped at 350 participants.
The Council will bring together legislators, government ministries, regulators, enforcement authorities, central banks, regional governments, C-level operators, sports governing bodies, leagues, technology companies and social media platforms.
Discussions will focus on issues including illegal markets, emerging jurisdictions, player protection, taxation, market integrity, artificial intelligence and new gaming technologies.
The programme will combine keynote discussions, open debates, boardroom sessions and bilateral meetings, with an emphasis on developing practical outcomes rather than traditional conference attendance.
ICE Conference Focuses on Operational Growth
The ICE Conference will translate key market developments discussed at the Council into practical insights for a broader B2B audience.
Operators, technology suppliers, advisers, legal and consultancy firms, and professionals across commercial strategy, marketing, product, platform and compliance will be able to participate.
The programme will use panels, briefings, case studies and workshops to examine how businesses can respond to regulatory and market changes while identifying opportunities for operational growth.
New Structure Reflects Industry Changes
WorldGaming Managing Director Stuart Hunter said the revised programme reflects feedback from stakeholders and the changing needs of an increasingly integrated and diversified gaming industry.
The new structure also simplifies access through a single all-access ICE Conference pass, while regulator and C-level content will operate through an invite-only or paid application model under Chatham House rules.
The 2027 programme is designed to give senior decision-makers a dedicated environment for strategic discussion while providing wider industry participants with practical insights they can apply to commercial and operational challenges.
