DATA.BET Reports Strong Growth in Virtual Football

DATA.BET has reported significant growth in its virtual football offering. Turnover from the product increased 168% year-on-year between the first quarters of 2025 and 2026.

The company also recorded substantial gains across key performance indicators. This highlights growing demand for virtual sports content as operators seek year-round betting opportunities beyond traditional sporting calendars.

Virtual Football Drives Performance

According to DATA.BET, its in-house virtual football product generated 39% of total virtual sports turnover. It also contributed 45% of overall virtual sports profits during the reporting period.

The company attributed the performance to increasing engagement with its bot-vs-bot football format. Notably, this format operates continuously without relying on real-world sporting events.

As a result, operators can offer uninterrupted betting content regardless of seasonal schedules or fixture availability.

User Activity and Betting Volumes Surge

The growth extended across multiple operational metrics. DATA.BET reported a 299% increase in active users compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, client gross gaming revenue (GGR) rose by 129%.

The company also recorded a 246% increase in quarterly events. Additionally, there was a 218% rise in total bets placed, indicating stronger player engagement and betting activity across its virtual football ecosystem.

These results reflect the increasing role of virtual sports in maintaining betting volumes. This effect appears during periods when live sports content is limited.

Addressing Operator Challenges

DATA.BET positions its virtual football product as a solution for operators looking to maintain engagement during low-season periods. It is also designed for gaps in major sporting calendars.

Because the content runs 24/7, operators can provide a consistent stream of betting opportunities without depending on external sporting schedules. The company noted that this helps reduce operational complexity while ensuring continuous content delivery across betting platforms.

The product also aims to retain football bettors during seasonal breaks. It does so by offering gameplay that closely mirrors traditional football betting experiences.

Flexible and Scalable Content Strategy

According to Rostyslav Likhtin, the company’s decision to develop virtual football internally allows it to tailor the product. Consequently, it can address the specific needs of individual operators.

He explained that DATA.BET can customize league structures and adjust the balance between bot-generated and player-focused content. It can also create branded competition formats depending on operator requirements.

The company also highlighted additional benefits of its algorithm-driven model. These include reduced exposure to fraud risks, more predictable margins, and compatibility with in-play betting features.

With virtual sports continuing to gain traction across regulated betting markets, DATA.BET’s latest results suggest that demand for always-available betting content remains strong. This is a growing opportunity for operators seeking to diversify their sportsbook offerings.
