The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced that the Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC 2026) will feature an unprecedented $75 million total prize pool. This amount surpasses the $24 million awarded to the winner of the 2025 Copa Libertadores final.
The tournament will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 6 to August 23, spanning seven consecutive weeks. Additionally, matches will be hosted across multiple venues in the city. EWC 2026 will feature more than 2,000 players and 200 teams from over 100 countries. They will compete across 25 tournaments and 24 game titles. EWC 2025 drew 750 million global viewers, with a peak of 7.98 million concurrent viewers and over 3 million attending in person in Riyadh. Tickets for the 2026 edition went on sale on January 22 via the tournament’s official website. This promises even bigger international engagement.
