Flutter Brazil has become the first online betting company to join the Brazilian Advertisers Association (ABA). The move marks a milestone for Brazil’s betting sector as operators increasingly align with responsible advertising standards.
Strategic Step Amid Regulatory Changes
Flutter Brazil operates the betting brands Betnacional and Betfair in the local market. By joining the ABA, the company now sits alongside more than 1,400 member companies across 18 industries.
The decision comes as Brazil’s betting market undergoes regulatory development, particularly around advertising governance, transparency, and marketing communication rules.
Alvaro Garcia, Chief Marketing Officer at Flutter Brazil, said the move reflects the company’s commitment to responsible marketing practices and constructive industry dialogue.
Expanding Debate on Responsible Advertising
Brazil’s betting market has grown rapidly, generating more than R$37 billion in activity over the past year. As the sector expands, discussions around advertising standards and responsible communication have become increasingly important.
Sandra Martinelli, CEO of the ABA, said the entry of a betting company into the association broadens discussions with major advertisers and supports initiatives to improve communication guidelines in Brazil.
About Flutter Brazil
Flutter Brazil was created through the merger of NSX Brasil, owner of the Betnacional brand, and global betting group Flutter Entertainment, which operates Betfair. The company is led by Brazilian executives and maintains partnerships with organisations such as the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming.
About the ABA
Founded more than 65 years ago, the Brazilian Advertisers Association promotes responsible marketing practices and advertising self-regulation. The organisation also works with the World Federation of Advertisers to promote international best practices across the Brazilian advertising industry.
