The G2E Asia 2026 and Asian IR Expo are projected to attract more than 8,000 visitors when they open in May 2026 at The Venetian Macao in Cotai. This represents a 33% increase from last year’s attendance of 6,000, according to organiser RX.
Rising Interest Beyond Gaming
The increase is attributed in part to a growing focus on non-gaming aspects of the integrated resort (IR) sector. Vera Ng, RX’s Project Director, noted that attendees are increasingly interested in broader IR content rather than solely casino operations.
G2E Asia will hold its 17th edition from May 12–14. The Asian IR Expo, now in its debut year in Macau, focuses on other areas of the casino business such as entertainment and hospitality. Together, the events will cover over 30,000 sqm. They will host more than 150 exhibitors.
Conference Program Highlights
Both shows will feature a joint 3-day conference with over 30 sessions and 50 speakers. This will emphasize digital innovation and diversification into non-gaming products. Key topics include:
- Artificial intelligence in resorts
- Robotics and automation
- Sports-related entertainment innovations
Yip Je Choong, RX’s Senior VP for Asia Pacific, stressed that the shows aim to deliver value to attendees rather than compete with other regional trade events. The focus will be on customer experience and ROI.
Emphasis on Value and Integration
RX highlighted that combining gaming and non-gaming elements in a single event enhances relevance for a wide audience, including:
- Resort designers
- Entertainment providers
- Casino operators
The focus on digital transformation, non-gaming diversification, and ongoing industry value is central to the 2026 edition. This positions the shows as essential for professionals across the integrated resort sector.
With anticipated higher attendance and expanded exhibition space, G2E Asia and Asian IR Expo are set for a busy and impactful return to Macau this May.
