The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has approved FanDuel to offer multi-state online poker in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, effective April 1. The new platform will operate under Flutter’s PokerStars brand in Michigan, with MotorCity Casino serving as FanDuel’s local operator partner.
MGCB Grants Multi-State Poker Approval
The MGCB confirmed that FanDuel has met all regulatory requirements to launch multi-state internet poker under the state law. The regulator said the approval reflects its commitment to supporting legal, regulated gaming while maintaining responsible gambling standards and protecting market integrity.
MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams noted that FanDuel is already a well-established operator in the Michigan market and emphasized that players can expect the same level of oversight applied across all licensed gaming activity in the state.
Michigan’s Role in the MSIGA Network
Michigan joined the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) in 2022, allowing online poker operators to pool players across participating states. Other MSIGA members include Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Before joining the agreement, the state online poker players were restricted to competing only against other players located within the state.
