The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has successfully renewed its ISO 9001:2015 certification for the fourth consecutive time. This reinforces its adherence to internationally recognised quality management standards. The recertification follows a three-day audit conducted in December. This confirms the agency’s continued compliance with global operational benchmarks.
The certification was formally awarded by DQS Certification Phils. Inc. during a ceremony held at PAGCOR’s Corporate Office in Pasay City on April 16, 2026.
Leadership Highlights Commitment to Quality and Accountability
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco described the achievement as a reflection of the organisation’s ongoing commitment to excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. These efforts span across all areas of operation.
He credited the agency’s workforce for the milestone. Additionally, he highlighted their consistent efforts in maintaining and improving operational standards through daily quality-driven practices.
Wide-Ranging Audit Covers Corporate and Casino Operations
The recertification was based on a surveillance audit conducted from December 15 to 18, 2025. This covered 17 PAGCOR sites nationwide. These sites included the Corporate Office and multiple Casino Filipino branches across key locations such as Cebu, Bacolod, Tagaytay, Angeles, Olongapo, and Manila.
Additional branches included Binondo, Greenery, Manila Grand Opera, Kartini, Networld, and Tropicana in Las Piñas. Oriental Pearl was also included, reflecting the broad operational scope evaluated during the audit process.
Strong Governance and Digital Transformation Recognised
During the assessment, PAGCOR was commended for strong leadership, effective governance, and regulatory compliance. Auditors also noted the agency’s ongoing digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and service delivery.
DQS further highlighted PAGCOR’s resilience in operations, emphasis on safety culture, and commitment to responsible gaming practices. In addition, they noted continuous improvements in customer service and gaming innovation.
The agency’s investment in employee training and competency development was also recognised as a key strength supporting its operational performance.
Certification Valid Until 2029 With Annual Reviews
The ISO 9001:2015 certification will remain valid until March 22, 2029. This is subject to successful completion of annual surveillance audits to ensure continued compliance with international quality standards.
Reinforcing Long-Term Operational Standards in Gaming Regulation
The renewal of PAGCOR’s certification underscores its efforts to align with global best practices in gaming regulation and public sector governance. As the Philippine gaming industry continues to expand, the agency’s focus on quality management and operational integrity remains central to its regulatory framework.
