New Website Promotes Transparency
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has launched a new platform called the “PAGCOR Guarantee.” This website allows users to verify whether an online gaming site is officially licensed. It comes in response to a rise in fraudulent operators targeting Filipino players.
According to PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco, the tool aims to protect players and restore trust in the industry. “This new website helps players check if a site is licensed before they place bets or make payments,” he said.
PAGCOR Guarantee Offers Access to Licensed Platforms
The website includes a regularly updated list of legitimate internet gaming platforms. It also provides direct links to each approved site. This helps users avoid scam websites and access legal services with confidence.
Tengco explained that too many users fall victim to unlicensed sites that withhold winnings or vanish after accepting payments. These cases have prompted PAGCOR to act quickly and offer a solution that’s easy to use.
Why the Tool Matters
Unlicensed platforms harm not only players but also the country. They avoid paying taxes, offer no consumer protections, and hurt public confidence. Tengco added, “Illegal gaming operations reduce government revenue and erode trust in our legal gaming industry.”
With the PAGCOR Guarantee, the agency hopes to change that. It encourages players to check licenses and avoid risky sites. By doing so, PAGCOR strengthens its oversight and shows its commitment to responsible gaming.
PAGCOR Eyes Future Enhancements
PAGCOR plans to expand this initiative with more features and wider awareness campaigns. It also urges the public to stay alert and report suspicious activity. As the online gambling space grows, so must the tools to regulate and protect it.
