Fourth US iGaming State Launch for Playtech

Playtech has officially entered West Virginia, marking its fourth regulated iGaming state launch in the United States. This expansion strengthens Playtech’s growing U.S. footprint, adding to existing operations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

Partnering with Top Operators in The Mountain State

In West Virginia, Playtech has partnered with major players including Rush Street Interactive, DraftKings, and BetMGM. These operators now have access to Playtech’s portfolio of RNG games, live dealer content, and online casino products.

This move aligns with Playtech’s global growth strategy. Recently, the company signed a poker agreement with Pari Mutuel Urbain in France, launched with Hard Rock Digital in New Jersey, and expanded into Ontario with High Roller.

Playtech Focuses on Innovation and Responsibility

Commenting on the West Virginia launch, Jonathan Doubilet, VP of US Business Operations at Playtech, stated:

“Our expansion into this regulated iGaming state reflects our strong strategic focus on delivering engaging, innovative, and responsible entertainment to players, while supporting our partners with the latest in gaming technology.”

He emphasized Playtech’s commitment to agile support across regulated markets, adding:

“The trust and confidence our partners place in us is what helps us meet the demands of the ever-expanding US iGaming industry.”

iGaming in the US: Growing Market, High Potential

Currently, iGaming is regulated in seven U.S. states, including Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. According to the American Gaming Association, the U.S. commercial gaming market hit $72.04 billion in 2024. Of that, iGaming contributed nearly $8 billion—a clear sign of the vertical’s lucrative potential.

Even in states without regulation, demand for alternatives such as sweepstakes and predictor markets shows that interest in online gaming continues to surge.
