Thailand Blocks 945,075 Gambling URLs in FY2026

Thailand blocked 945,075 URLs linked to online gambling during fiscal 2026, as the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society outlined plans to strengthen cooperation with digital platforms, law enforcement and civil society groups.

Court Orders Account for Most Blocks

The ministry recorded 835,207 URL blocks through court orders between October 2025 and September 2026. Authorities blocked another 109,868 URLs through cooperation with digital platforms.

The figures represent individual gambling-related URLs rather than separate websites or operators.

Thailand Expands Platform Cooperation

The ministry plans to work with search engine providers to reduce the visibility and accessibility of gambling websites and related content in search results.

Authorities also proposed new channels for the public, including young people, to report gambling-related content and online experiences. A dedicated working group would review these reports, coordinate with platforms such as TikTok and Meta, and refer relevant information to the Royal Thai Police.

AI Supports Gambling Enforcement

Thailand currently combines police intelligence, artificial intelligence tools and public reports to identify and block gambling-related websites.

The ministry also plans to cooperate with education, interior and security agencies to raise awareness of online gambling risks, particularly among children, students and young people.

The measures form part of Thailand’s broader effort to limit access to illegal online gambling and promote safer use of digital platforms.
