Yahoo Finance Ends Polymarket Data Partnership

Yahoo Finance has ended its data partnership with Polymarket, closing an agreement that brought prediction market data to users of the financial news platform.

The partnership began in November 2025, when Yahoo Finance introduced a dedicated prediction market section featuring Polymarket data. The section displayed market-based probabilities for potential economic, political and financial events alongside Yahoo Finance’s existing financial coverage.

Yahoo Removes Prediction Market Section

Yahoo Finance removed the prediction market section in April, several months after launching the feature. Bloomberg has now reported that the broader data agreement between the two companies has also ended.

Yahoo said Polymarket will remain an advertising partner and indicated that the companies could collaborate on other projects in the future.

Polymarket has not publicly disclosed the reason for the termination of the data partnership.

Polymarket Expands Data Distribution

The agreement with Yahoo Finance formed part of Polymarket’s broader strategy to distribute prediction market data through established media and industry platforms.

In January, Polymarket partnered with Dow Jones to provide prediction market data across consumer platforms including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch and Investor’s Business Daily.

The company has also signed partnerships with Major League Baseball and Sportradar, expanding its prediction market data distribution beyond financial media.

Media Partnerships Shape Prediction Markets

Prediction market operators have increasingly sought partnerships with established publishers, sports organisations and technology companies to make market data available to wider audiences.

For Polymarket, these agreements provide additional distribution channels for its event-based market data. The end of the Yahoo Finance data partnership removes one such channel, although the company continues to develop other media and commercial relationships.

Yahoo Finance’s decision also highlights the evolving approach of mainstream financial platforms toward prediction market content as the sector expands into financial, political and sports-related events.
