Trustly and Acres Launch Instant Cashless Gaming Solution

Trustly and Acres

Trustly, a leading provider of Pay by Bank services in Europe, has partnered with Acres to introduce a new instant cashless gaming system for casinos across the United States.

The collaboration integrates Trustly Scan & Pay with the Acres Universal Payment Adapter (UPA). This allows players to fund slot machines and table games by simply scanning a QR code. Payments are processed through secure bank transfers and completed within seconds, without the need for player cards, apps, or digital wallets.

For casino operators, the solution helps reduce cash handling costs — estimated at around 6% of revenue. Data shows that cashless play drives higher coin-in compared to cash-based gaming.

The Universal Payment Adapter can be deployed across a wide range of slot machines and casino management systems. It already holds regulatory approvals in most major tribal and commercial jurisdictions in the US. This enables rapid rollout without hardware or software upgrades.

Noah Acres, COO of Acres, said:

“The Universal Payment Adapter gives casinos a true plug-and-play cashless interface that requires no additional technology integration. It boasts widespread regulatory approvals throughout the United States. By linking it to Trustly Scan & Pay, casinos can offer their players a way to fund games electronically that’s quicker and easier than cash.”

Darren White, Trustly’s Director of Gaming, added:

“Trustly and Acres have executed both technical integration and commercial agreements. This enables Acres to serve as Merchant of Record to Trustly on behalf of casinos.”

With this partnership, Trustly and Acres aim to modernize casino payments. They combine real-time digital transactions with trusted banking infrastructure to enhance both convenience and compliance on the gaming floor.
