Yggdrasil Gaming has launched Gemstone Jam, the latest title built using its Game in a Box™ development framework. The release marks the third game powered by the technology. This reinforces the studio’s focus on faster production cycles and more efficient slot development.
Gemstone Jam targets players who prefer classic slot mechanics and blends traditional land-based machine aesthetics with the energy and pacing of a modern game show-style experience. As a result, the game delivers a high-impact presentation supported by immersive sound design and frequent win animations.
Classic Symbols and High-Volatility Gameplay Drive Core Experience
The game features familiar slot symbols such as cherries, 7s, gold bars, and a Diamond Wild. The Diamond Wild plays a central role in the game’s top-end potential. It unlocks a maximum win of up to 10,000x when all Diamond Wilds align across paylines.
Gemstone Jam operates as a high-volatility title with a 30% hit rate and up to nine dynamic paylines. These include horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and V-shaped combinations, which add variety to each spin outcome.
Key Mechanics Focus on Momentum and Win Progression
Two main mechanics define the gameplay experience. The first, “The Nudge,” adjusts reel positions after near-miss outcomes to create additional win opportunities. Meanwhile, the second, “Big Win Countup,” delivers a staged celebration sequence. This sequence escalates rewards through 20x, 40x, 80x, and up to a maximum win reveal.
These features heighten tension and reinforce progression, turning each spin into a build-up toward larger potential outcomes.
Audio-Visual Design Enhances Game Show Feel
Gemstone Jam incorporates a dynamic audiovisual package that amplifies engagement through near-miss sound effects and celebratory win cues. The design aims to replicate the emotional highs and lows of a live game show. In turn, it creates a more immersive and reactive gameplay experience.
Game in a Box Technology Cuts Production Time
The title is powered by Yggdrasil’s AI-supported Game in a Box™ platform, which significantly reduced development time and streamlined production workflows. According to the company, the tool cut production time by around 50%. This enables faster iteration and more efficient testing of game mechanics.
Ricardo Viana, Executive Creative Director at Yggdrasil, described the game as a blend of virtual mechanics and game show-style emotional intensity. Meanwhile, Product Director Tomasz Kowalik highlighted how the platform improved math testing, backend development, and overall speed to market. This allowed the team to focus more on gameplay refinement.
