Gaming Arts to Adapt Evolution Slot Titles for Land-Based Casinos

Gaming Arts has partnered with Evolution to transform some of the most popular online slots into engaging land-based casino experiences.

Evolution Teams Up with Gaming Arts

In this collaboration, Gaming Arts and Bluehare Studios will adapt Evolution’s online hits for the Class III gaming market. The games will keep their proven mechanics, features, and strong brand appeal. However, they will also benefit from Gaming Arts’ MOD EX high-performance cabinets, creating a fresh player experience.

Flipping the Usual Adaptation Trend

Usually, casino operators take land-based titles and adjust them for online play. This time, the direction is different. Evolution and Gaming Arts are moving online-first successes into physical casinos, which marks a significant industry shift.

Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution, emphasized the importance of this move:

“Evolution is thrilled to be at the forefront of this shift. This collaboration allows us to bring our world-class IP to the incredibly talented team at Gaming Arts, and watching them reimagine our games for land-based play has been truly inspiring.”

The companies plan to launch the first releases in North America by Q4 2025. Four top Evolution slots will lead the rollout. Among them, two fan favorites already stand out:

  • Divine Fortune Ascension (adapted from Divine Fortune)
  • Starburst Supernova (adapted from Starburst)

Each title will introduce new gameplay twists while keeping the key elements that made them successful online.

Balancing Experiences for Both Player Groups

Haushalter explained the challenge of building games for two audiences:

“The tricky part is creating a game that remains familiar and compelling to land-based players in the casino, so they don’t feel like they’re playing second fiddle to the online players, while simultaneously creating an environment where the online players don’t feel like they are second-class citizens either.”

This balance ensures that both land-based and online players enjoy equally strong experiences.

Marketing Support and Industry Impact

To strengthen the rollout, the companies will run an integrated marketing campaign across digital and land-based channels. This approach will ensure broad visibility and player engagement.

Rob Ziems, CEO of Gaming Arts, highlighted the broader vision:

“This collaboration goes beyond simply combining Evolution’s exceptional game brands with our latest MOD EX hardware. We are working closely with Evolution to adapt these classics for land-based play while also modernising them to create engaging experiences that resonate with today’s casino players.”

Looking Ahead

With this partnership, Evolution and Gaming Arts are not just expanding content; they are also reshaping how games cross from online to land-based markets. Players can expect innovative features, familiar brands, and seamless experiences when the first titles arrive in 2025.
