Playbook Fusion has taken its flagship title, Playbook Football, to new markets through a partnership with LiveScore Bet. This marks the studio’s first move into Africa. The game has also gone live in the UK with Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet.
Expanding Reach in Key Markets
The launch in Nigeria is particularly significant, as it introduces Playbook Football to a country with a deep passion for football. At the same time, the rollout in the UK builds on the momentum created by the July 2025 debut with Ladbrokes. This represented the title’s first commercial release following regulatory approval.
A Blend of Gaming and Betting
Playbook Football combines virtual team management with real-money betting. It gives players the chance to build squads, place wagers, and progress through divisions. The title runs on Playbook Fusion’s Remote Gaming Server and is distributed exclusively via Games Global.
Founder and CEO Steve Rogers expressed his enthusiasm, noting:
“We are delighted to see it become available to LiveScore Bet’s players in Nigeria. This is a country that is mad about football and the mobile-first nature of the game makes it easily accessible.”
Regulatory and Local Endorsement
Earlier this year, the UK Gambling Commission granted approval to Playbook Fusion, supported by eCOGRA certification.
In Nigeria, James Connelley, Director at LiveScore Bet Nigeria, highlighted the local impact:
“The game offers a truly unique experience that will resonate strongly with our extensive player base in Nigeria.”
Roadmap for Future Growth
Playbook Fusion views Playbook Football as a milestone in its product roadmap. The studio is already working on additional hybrid betting products for cricket and basketball. These are designed to combine video game mechanics with wagering.
To accelerate this vision, the company has strengthened its leadership team. They have brought in Jason Bradbury, former Entain executive, as Chief Product Officer. Additionally, Santiago Jaramillo, a veteran from the video games industry, joins as Executive Creative Advisor. Both aim to craft engaging betting products that appeal to younger demographics.
Strategic Outlook
By expanding into Nigeria and reinforcing its UK presence, Playbook Fusion is pursuing a broader international growth strategy. Moreover, the company is positioning itself at the forefront of a rising trend: betting products that embrace video game-style persistence and competition.
